Chris Mairs, Founding Chairman, Magic Pony

Chris was the founding Chairman of Magic Pony, one of Europe’s most successful machine learning software companies, which was sold to Twitter for a reported $150M in 2016. Chris was an advisor to Sonalytic, the audio detection start-up who were recently acquired by Spotify. Chris is a Venture Partner at Entrepreneur First, Europe’s leading builder of deep technology companies. Chris co-founded Metaswitch Networks in 1981, and remains a director of the company. In 2014 he was awarded a CBE for services to engineering.

Simon Kelly, Chief Sales Officer, Babylon Health

Simon is CSO at Babylon Health, a healthcare company using AI to transform the consumer healthcare experience. Babylon Health raised its $25M series A round in 2016 and its investors include AB Kinnevik, Hoxton Ventures and the DeepMind cofounders. Simon was part of the original Exec Team for LinkedIn in Europe, and has also worked at Accenture, Vodafone and Microsoft, and has a passion for disruptive technology and start-ups.

Mark Davies, VP Biomedical Informatics, BenevolentAI

Mark is the VP Biomedical Informatics at BenevolentAI, the largest private artificial intelligence company in Europe that, applies its technology to enhance and accelerate scientific innovation. Mark has over 15 years of experience working on biomedical data representation, data analysis and application development and was one of the founding members of EMBL-EBI and was technical lead for the ChEMBL resource – the largest open-source SAR database.
