We’re speaking at Women in banking and financial services industry conference
Women in Adria
At the first conference for women in banking and the financial services sector, they will address two key issues – the glass ceiling and women as a market segment.
Women are more and more educated, their incomes are growing, they make the majority of purchasing decisions, and the number of those earning more than partners is increasing. Also, more and more women see entrepreneurship as a career option.
To meet this growing market segment, banks need to increase the share of women in leading positions. President of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde said at a recent Davos conference:
“If you look at the composition of banks’ management, only 20% are women. Lack of women in the financial sector damages banks because they have to reflect their client base.”
